The Stinger spike system is a device, that is applicable for stopping of vehicles at any speed by protruding metalic spikes. The spikes are caverned and thrust into the tire of the vehicle, when it run through the obstacle, resulting puncture of the tire.
The tilted design results, that the spikes decline into the direction of the wheel, when the vehicle crosses them, ensuring the perfect angle for the maximal penetration into the tire. This feature makes possible for the device the effectivity in both directions. When the spikes thrust into the tire, they deflate gradually, decreasing the speed of the vehucle, that ends with stopping and makes possible for the authority to finish the persecution and stopping the passangers of the vehicle.
The Stinger is designed for easy maintainance and transfer from either vehicle to the other.
